Candidate who are graduate and who are just in last year right now are asking this so common question, so here i am giving you the answer of most common question clearly.

I am Graduate, Can i Apply for CAT 2013?

NO, As per the Eligibility Criteria of CAT 2013,the candidate must need at least 50% marks in his bechlore degree. So, if you are JUST graduate then you can not apply for the CAT examination.

You must have at lest 50% marks in graduation. Though, if you belongs to OBC,ST or SC category then you need only 45% to eligible for CAT.

So, if you are Just graduate pass out (i.e 35%) then cat is not for you. you must have 50% in overall degree education in Bechlore, in case to appear in CAT.

I am Last year Student, Result awaiting, can i apply?

Yes, you can apply. But you have to submit your final year mark sheet before the specified date of CAT authority. you just have to be on time for submitting the bechlore degree certificate or mark sheet.

if you are worrying about the minimum score to crack the CAT, then visit the below mentioned link to get more knowledge about that.

  1. Yes, you can always apply for CAT if you are a graduate (>=50%, or >=45% for SC/ST). If you are in final year also you can appear for CAT (Your current going % should meet the stated percentage requirement though), provided you should have your overall marks certificate before joining the B-school (or at most 2 months grace from the date of admission but you should have known your final marks by then).
    >CAT exam- Graduation/Appearing
    >CAT results
    >Applying to institutes- with/without final marks card(with letter from Principal/head stated that you are appearing and your undergoing % is correct).(Sept-Jan, March. Mostly)-
    >GD/PI- with or without final marks card.Feb-May,mostly)
    >Confirmation of admission- with or without final marks card.March-June,mostly)
    >Joining- You should either have your final marks card(original) or an internet published one. If none then the seat is lost.
NB:For some institutes- Final marks card(original) should be submitted within 2months after joining, but your secondary marks card (internet printed one) should have been already submitted.

    Do well.

    Thank You.
